The Imperial Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel put the finishing touches on the ever-popular Haunted Houses this week. It opened Wednesday night and will admit the public through Friday night.
The Haunted House, located in the city gymnasium, is open from 7-10 p.m. each night. If anyone wants to take children through during the day, they may call Deb Hayes at (308) 882-5173.
There are several new “attractions” this year, but Hayes declined to name them so as to increase the surprise at night.
About eight EMTs spent over a week setting up the Haunted House, with about 15 EMTs manning the event at night.
The cost of admission is $5 for ages 13 and up, $4 for ages 5-12, and $2 for children under age four. If a canned good is brought, $1 is taken off the admission price.
Proceeds benefit the EMT scholarship fund.
Other Halloween fun

Earlier Thursday at 2 p.m. pre-K-6 students will be involved in the annual costume parade at the school. The public is invited.
