It was a great way to end the home volleyball action for the Lady Longhorns Tuesday night.
After losing to Hershey Saturday in the SPVA Conference tourney, Chase County turned around three days later and beat the Lady Panthers.
Scores were 25-27, 25-15, 25-23 and 25-15.
Chase County was on its way to win the opener with just a point needed to put it away, when Hershey scrambled back to win it 27-25.
Despite a big 8-3 Hershey lead in the second, Chase County scored 12 straight helped by the serving of freshman Taylin McNair to go up 15-8, and eventually win big, 25-15.
Again, in the crucial third game, Chase County had a late 24-20 lead only to see Hershey fight back to a 23-24 deficit before a kill from Kristen Jussel put that one away, 25-23.
Chase County, now 19-8, never trailed in the fourth, winning easily 25-15.
Hershey had just won the SPVA tourney Saturday, beating top-seeded St. Pat’s, and had a 20-3 record coming into Tuesday’s match.
Chase County’s win Tuesday stopped a 12-match Hershey winning streak.
