It’s about time for the Lied Imperial Public Library’s annual book sale. The Friends of the Library are staffing the book sale Oct. 23-28.
Readers will enjoy perusing books, magazines, DVDs and VHS tapes on all subjects. Prices will be as marked until Oct. 26 and 28, when $2 will buy a bag of books.
Those wishing to donate books may do so at the library until Oct. 23. Encyclopedias, textbooks, Readers Digest consolidated books, old medical books and books in poor condition won’t be accepted.
The book sale will be held during regular library hours.
The Friends of the Library will be selling 2014 calendars featuring local volunteer groups as a fundraiser.
The calendars will feature photographs of groups and individuals and will go on sale Dec. 5 for $6.
Persons wishing to add a special day to the calendar, such as a birthday, anniversary, meeting day, etc., may do so for $1 per entry. Those entries and fee are due by Nov. 10.
Persons wishing to make an entry or purchase a calendar may do so at the library or by sending the fee to PO Box 728, Imperial, NE 69033. Checks may be made out to Imperial Library Foundation.
