The public is invited to the dedication of St. Isidore Gift & Thrift’s new location, 527 Broadway, where it is moving this month.
A dedication ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. next Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the store. Bishop James Conley of Lincoln will conduct the dedication service.
Store manager Bill Sullivan said the store will open for business at its new location soon afterwards. It will not yet be ready for business the day of the dedication.
Since March 2010, the store has operated at 746 Broadway by Catholic Social Services with local volunteer help. The move will double the store’s display space, Sullivan said.
The new location has undergone extensive remodeling with the addition of offices, a chapel and all new paint, carpet and fixtures.
Bishop Conley’s trip to Imperial for the Sept. 11 dedication will also include the Southwest Nebraska Catechism Kickoff that night, where he will be guest speaker at the school auditorium.
