Two Longhorn teams get early start on fall practice PDF Print E-mail

Chase County’s high school football and softball teams started practices on Monday this week. Above, members of the Longhorn football squad work on the “scoop and score” drill early Tuesday morning. The football players are starting at 6 a.m. this week and are running long morning practices in preparation for their first contest at home on Friday, Sept. 6, versus Gordon/Rushville. Coaches report 36 players have reported for football practice this week. She is one of 20 out for the Longhorn team, which opens play at a triangular in Southern Valley on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
