First streets paved in Sage Addition PDF Print E-mail

Late last week, the first loads of concrete were laid in the Sage Addition on Cactus Circle in the subdivision’s ongoing street improvement project. Above, an inspection of the street was being conducted Tuesday while dirt work was underway on Sand Love Street, below, the next street on schedule for paving on Wednesday of this week. One block of Sage Street on the east side of the addition was poured on Monday. The schedule calls for the closing of Bluestem Street today (Thursday) from Yucca to West 12th Street so dirt work can be started for the concrete paving to follow. City Public Works Supt. Pat Davison said Van Kirk Sand & Gravel is hoping to finish its pipe-laying in Sage Addition by the end of this week or early next week, then will move directly to begin work on Second Street in the Cornerstone Commercial Park. Second Street is slated for concrete paving from Holland St. east to Orsa St., as well as the installation of water lines and storm sewer. (Republican photos)
