Races cap off Saturday excitement at PC Fair PDF Print E-mail

With a crowd of 800 people on hand, Phillips County Raceway served up a night of exciting car racing action Saturday night.
Ryan Gaylord once again took the top spot in the IMCA mod division, beating out Garrett Sporhase of Holyoke and Eddie Belec who finished in second and third, respectively.
Gaylord now sits just 18 points behind points leader Jesse Taylor. Sporhase sits in third, just one point behind Gaylord.
Richard Boone was able to edge out Holyoke racer Colt Gibbs and Jim Moore in the hobby races. Gibbs is still the points leader, six points above Moore while Boone sits in eighth place.
Justin Bussell of Imper­ial took the checkered flag in stocks, giving him some breathing room as the points leader. Mike Dancer finished in second and Don Schweitzer followed behind in third.
Bussell leads the next closest points earner, Lloyd Meeske of Champion by 52 points.
Tom Nelson Jr. raced his way to a first-place finish in the northern sport mods, beating out points leader Jacob Adler from Holyoke. Ryan Moser finished the race in third place.
Adler sits atop the point standings with 264, 14 more than Mike Lininger in second. Nelson Jr. is in seventh as of July 27.

IMCA Mods—Ryan Gaylord, Garrett Sporhase, Eddie Belec, Jeremy Frenier, John Burrow Jr., Cole Hodges, Greg Sharpe, Colton Osborne, Angie Hayes, James Krehmeyer and Jesse Taylor.
Hobby­—Richard Boone, Colt Gibbs, Jim Moore, Greg Dannatt, Michael Johnson, Woody Woodhead and Ron Edge.
Stocks—Justin Bussell, Mike Dancer, Don Schweitzer, Kurt Trusty, Tony Walker, Jason Noyes, Lloyd Meeske and Earl Woodward.
Northern Sport Mod—Tom Nelson Jr., Jacob Adler, Ryan Moser, Mike Lininger, Brandon Clough, Tom Quint and Jacob Fehler.
Racing will return to PCR Saturday, Aug. 10 as mods, stocks, s-mods, hobbies and lightning sprints are all scheduled to race.
