Fans of Styx, Justin Moore and The Talbott Brothers, all who will perform at this year’s Chase County Fair, have just a week left to take advantage of the “Buy in July” ticket promotion.
Considerable savings can be realized by purchasing tickets to the fair’s Friday and Saturday night shows before next Thursday, Aug. 1.
Also, if more than 10 standing-only tickets are purchased in one transaction, additional money can be saved.
Tickets ordered before Aug. 1 are $27.50 each for the standing-only area and $32.50 for reserved seats. After Aug. 1, the prices rise to $32.50 and $37.50.
If a purchaser buys more than 10 tickets in a group before Aug. 1, cost will be just $25 per ticket. Those 10 tickets can be purchased in any combination for Friday and Saturday nights and are restricted to the standing-only area.
Headliner for Friday Aug. 16, will be the legendary rock band Styx.
On Saturday, the genre turns to country when Justin Moore is the headliner and will be joined by The Talbott Bros. of Imperial.
Shows both evenings will start at 7:30 p.m. MT
Chase County Fair Board Entertainment Chairman Alex McNair said 20 percent of the Styx tickets have been sold as of this week. The Justin Moore/Talbott Brothers show has sold 15 percent.
To order tickets, people can call the ticket office in Imperial at 308-882-5260 or 800-472-3247. Orders can also be made online at: www.chasecountyfair.com
In addition to the show tickets, people can also purchase demo derby and carnival ride mega passes now by calling the ticket office or ordering online
Co-ticket manager Larry Munger said the ticket office will be moving to the fairgrounds on Monday, Aug. 5.
At that time, the office will also start selling the fair barbecue tickets for Aug. 17. Tickets for the Christian Family Night Show featuring Laura Story on Aug. 14 will be sold there the day of the show for $5 plus tax.
Fair brochure in the mail
This year’s full-color event and ticket brochure for the Chase County Fair will be in the mail this week.
All boxholders in Chase County will receive one in the mail by this weekend.
In addition, anyone outside of Chase County who has ordered tickets in the past three years will also receive a brochure in the mail.
This year, fair organizers decided to send the brochure closer to the fair dates rather than the late June-early July schedule.
With the later date, fair organizers feel the brochure will be a more effective promotion for the fair. In addition, the brochure will be more timely for referencing fair activities.
