Midwest MedAir copter a hit at Fun Day PDF Print E-mail

When a person hears a chopper overhead around here, it usually means someone who is extremely sick or injured is getting flown out from the hospital. But that wasn’t the case Thursday during the Firemen’s Fun Day. The flight crew from Midwest MedAir in North Platte brought their life-flight helicopter to the event. Their aircraft drew quite an interested crowd during their visit. Kids and adults alike could tour the copter while crew members visited with people about their duties and the features of the flying ambulance. After a call, they can be in the air in 10 minutes or less. It takes about 30 minutes to fly to Imperial. (Republican photos)
