Since next week’s big summer July 4th holiday falls on a Thursday, rural route customers of The Imperial Republican will receive their papers a day late.
Co-Publisher Russ Pankonin said the newspaper will be printed on the regular Wednesday afternoon schedule.
Since post offices will be closed nationwide on July 4, the Republican’s July 4 issue won’t go out on the postal routes until July 5, said Postmaster Jerry Lines. Delivery in Wauneta will also be on Friday next week.
Imperial boxholders who subscribe will receive their July 4 edition in post office boxes Wednesday afternoon on the normal schedule. Counter and rack sales will also be available then.
The Imperial Republican will be closed all day next Thursday and Friday, July 4-5.
