Slice Fore Life golf benefit raising funds for hospital
Golfers will hit the links at Enders Lake Golf Course this weekend to raise funds for Chase County Community Hospital and Clinic.
The sixth annual Slice Fore Life golf benefit, which is organized by the Chase County Hospital Foundation, provides funding for various healthcare needs locally.
“In the past, funds from this benefit have helped to support air lift beds, an infant warmer, education for staff and other needs at the hospital and clinics,” said Randy Vlasin, Executive Director of the Chase County Hospital Foundation.
The golf benefit is a four-person scramble and will be held this Saturday, June 22. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
“We are close to having all the team slots full for this year. We are also very appreciative of the local business sponsors who help to make this a successful event,” said Vlasin.
Along with the golfing, there is also a silent auction.
An item of interest to golf enthusiasts is a TaylorMade golf set complete with irons, drivers and bag. Its retail value is $1,500.
Other auction items include a Southwest Nebraska golf package to four area courses, Chase County Fair Package, summer lawn care package, golf lessons, a pampered ladies package and more.
Anyone who would like a complete list of items or would like to enter a bid can contact Vlasin at 308-882-7379 or email him at
Advance bids must be entered by 2 p.m. this Friday. After that, bids can be made in person the day of the golf benefit.
