Pheasants Forever is hosting local Landowner Habitat Tour PDF Print E-mail

Landowners will learn about wildlife habitat, plants found in area

Pheasants Forever, NRCS and Nebraska Game and Parks will be hosting a Landowner Habitat Tour in Imperial this Friday.  
The tour will begin at Mid-Plains Community College in Imperial at 10 am and end at 2 p.m. MT.  
Presentations will be at the college, and the tour will end with field site visits in Chase County.  A lunch will be provided at no charge.  
Topics that will be presented include a Nebraska Game and Parks Commission program update, NRCS programs that are available and updates about Pheasant Forever projects and programs.  
Plant identification will be included in the classroom, as well as during the habitat site visits.   
Since June 17-21 is National Pollinator Week, the plant identification will highlight plants and forbs that are found in this area and will provide information about their importance.
