The City of Imperial wants citizens to provide input on a vision for the future of Imperial. A Comprehensive Plan Community Meeting has been set for June 27 at 7 p.m. in the council chambers to that effect.
An initial meeting concerning the plan was held March 19, 2013. At that time five planning commission members and seven community members met to discuss “what is good about Imperial and how to keep them,” according to City Administrator/Clerk Jo Leyland.
This second meeting will discuss, “What do you want to see developed and how to make it happen,” Leyland said. “It’s the meat and potatoes of the plan.”
Discussion will include future land use development ideas and goals, including commercial, residential and recreational use.
Leyland said everyone is welcome to provide input. She added that she’d like to see the people who attended the first meeting attend again, so as not to have to start over with goals.
