NPCC begins annual classic car fund-raiser PDF Print E-mail

Raffle tickets are $10 each and no more than 6,000 will be sold. The car will be raffled at 2 p.m. Sept. 7 at Colonel Cody’s Cruise Show and Shine in downtown North Platte. Proceeds from the raffle will be used for student scholarships and to purchase the next raffle car.
This year’s car is powered by a naturally aspirated (carbureted) 454 Big Block Chevy engine, bolted to a TH 400 Turbo Automatic Transmission and coupled to a 355 Posi-trac rear-end.
Special features include vintage air conditioning, power steering, power disc/drum brakes and air ride suspension.
The hot rod’s exterior sports a vinyl top and Rhino Liner box protection wrapped up in “Hugger Orange” basecoat/clearcoat paint by PPG that was donated by Mid Plains Auto Finishes. Pin-striping, decals and graphics by Dave Smith finish off the vehicle.
