As of the May 24 deadline, The Talbott Brothers reached their goal to raise $4,000 toward a professional recording of their new album, due out just before they appear at the Chase County Fair this August.
Nick and Tyler Talbott’s Kickstarter venture was to raise the money by offering donors gifts such as recordings, albums and a personal concert.
They raised $4,110 from 50 donors during the process.
The reason for using Kickstarter, Nick Talbott said, was “We like having people be a part of it. It gives people who decide to help fund us by giving something back.”
All of the money pledged will be used to cover the cost of producers, engineers, studio time and distribution.
The Talbott Brothers, natives of Imperial and now of Lincoln, will open for country singer Justin Moore at the fair on Aug. 17.
