On Tuesday, the number was up to 275 alumni and guests expected to return for the Chase County High School Alumni Banquet.
Events center around the 6 p.m. banquet at the school Saturday night, but there are many other happenings that day.
At 1 p.m, the Imperial Community Foundation will again host a tour of the community by bus starting at the circle drive south of the school building.
Photographs of the honor classes, those ending in “3”, will begin at 5:15 p.m. in the Longhorn gym.
Alumni Association organizers are also expecting several other in between classes (ending in “8”) to gather this weekend, as well.
The dinner, catered by Jack’s Country Cookin’ in the school cafeteria, starts at 6 p.m., followed by the program expected to conclude by 7:30 p.m.
Alumni Association President Marlon Kunnemann said the alumni will then be invited to gather at the Imperial Eagles Club where all the classes will enjoy a dance and more reminiscing. There will be no cover charge and a cash bar provided, and the community is invited, too.
Other officers working with Kunnemann on the alumni events this weekend include Nancy Terryberry, secretary; Jacque Banks, treasurer; Joan Wenzlick, historian; and planning committee members Jeanette Munger, Arlys Cupp, Kelsey Steinkraus and Devin Dreiling.
