The new president of First Bank & Trust Company in Imperial is David Fulton, currently of Wilcox. He will begin his duties May 13, replacing Ryan Richmond, who took another position in Nebraska.
Fulton, 53, has 22 years of banking experience, mostly as an agricultural lender. He has worked at two banks in Nebraska and two in Kansas, and has been at a bank in Wilcox for 10 months.
He lived in Curtis growing up, and began his banking career in Maywood.
“I’m an ag person so I’m really excited to work with farmers. It’s a great fit,” he said last week.
Wife Patty grew up in Benkelman and Bridgeport, where her father, Densel O’Dea was an extension agent. He still judges at the Chase County Fair.
The couple has four adult children, three of whom are married, and eight grandchildren. They describe themselves as “faith and family people.”
Having lived in small towns most of their lives, the couple is excited to move to Imperial.
His main goal for First Bank & Trust, Fulton said, is “I want to offer absolutely the best customer service anyone can find in this area. It’s one of my strengths, and the bank’s.”
