SCORE camps will be here in just over five weeks.
SCORE stands for Science Camps Offer Rewarding Experiences, and are offered every other year in and around Imperial.
This year, the camp will be spread out over the week of June 10-14.
Camp Director Marla Smith of Imperial said registration is now open for all grade levels, which include 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6 (age as of 2012-13 school year).
Cost for all campers is $100, and forms are available at the school, local businesses or by contacting Smith at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
Smith noted there are a few scholarships available from individual donors. Students may apply for a scholarship by writing a short paragraph titled, “Why I want to go to SCORE camp.”
Parents or guardians need to sign the application along with their child and return to Kim Spady at CCS. Requests can also be made to Smith by mail, Box 876, Imperial, NE 69033.
Final registration, which includes pick-up of all camp materials, is set for Monday, June 3, at Chase County Schools.
