Be sure to mark your calendar for April 29 and tentatively May 2. Those nights some crazy gods and goddesses are going to be populating the Greek pillars of Chase County Schools.
The spring play is “Dancing With the Olympians,” a kind of spoof on “Dancing With the Stars.”
Director Jill Bauerle said that while most of the roles are minor, “Each actor will be playing a unique character and can make his or her role over-the-top silly, dramatic, tragic or humorous.”
Gods, goddesses, muses and furies are being portrayed by Maddison Vaverek, Justus Wallin, Trey Milner, Tapainga Kahle, Korey Krutsinger, Dan Sullivan, Calen Griffin, Brittany Peters, Cassie Burpo, Tyler Jennings, Emma Bauerle, Jake Lueth, Paige Spady, Claire Kuenne, MaKenna Ketter, Ryan Moline and Valeria Cervantes. Garret Thompson is in charge of the set and music.
Tickets are a suggested donation of $3-5 apiece to help cover expenses. The play will begin both nights at 7 p.m. The May 2 date was tentative as of publication Wednesday.
