Gockley, Sorensen reign as CCS Prom king, queen PDF Print E-mail

Members of the Chase County Schools junior class chose seniors Kale Gockley and Bethany Sorensen as king and queen of the 2013 Prom held Saturday night in Imperial. At right, the newly-crowned royalty take part in the first dance of the evening. All six candidates were introduced to a large crowd that had gathered in the Longhorn gym for the promenade. Flanking the king and queen on the left, below, are Callin Ledall and Courtney Kunnemann, and on the right, Justin German and Maddison Vaverek. This year’s prom, organized by the junior class with oversight from sponsors Carol Hess and Lindsey Tomaso, followed the theme, “Rolling in the Deep.” Nautical decorations filled the gym. Prior to the dance, the prom-goers enjoyed dinner at St. Patrick Parish Hall, and afterwards, students could attend the Post Prom Party organized by junior class parents. More than 100 businesses and organizations contributed funds or prizes that students were able to win in drawings. Students played a variety of games during the post-prom event and enjoyed food and beverages. (Republican photos)
