Alco Store makes major donation to Chase County Schools PDF Print E-mail

Chase County Schools is enjoying a major donation of hardware items valued at more than $18,500 donated by Imperial’s Alco Store. Recently, Alco reset its entire hardware section, bringing in new lines of merchandise and updating others. Store employees noted all of the former products in that department needed to be phased out, so were donated to the school. Items received by the school included several 24-inch rolling tool boxes, gallons of paint, spray paint, tool bags, hand tools and several other miscellaneous items. Supt. Brad Schoeppey said the donated items will be able to be used in several areas including maintenance and in educational areas. Tools will be put to use in the bus barn, while other items such as paint could be utilized for props for plays. Some of the items were also used as prizes to students at Saturday’s After-Prom Party. On hand for the donation earlier this month were, above from left, Nicki Sailors, CCS head of maintenance Andres Huicochea, CCS Supt.
