Spring arrived nearly three weeks ago, but it didn’t appear so over the weekend in Imperial, as four inches of snow fell along with some nasty winds. It forced a number of postponements or cancellations in the area, but it certainly didn’t cancel those tasks that come with snowfall. Above, Paul Kunnemann removes snow from the entrance to Imperial’s Zion Lutheran Church Saturday afternoon, as church members planned for Confirmation services during the weekend. Meanwhile, a pickup travels slowly along Highway 61 on Imperial’s Miracle Mile Saturday afternoon, as visibility continued to worsen. Highway 6 west of Imperial was closed later Saturday night due to the zero visibility, reopening about 7:30 a.m. Sunday. (Republican photos)
