Churches observe resurrection of Christ PDF Print E-mail
    Easter Sunday is a joyous day for Christians, as they observe the resurrection of Jesus Christ and God’s message to the world of everlasting life through belief in His son.
    Area churches are leading up to the special day with Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services.
    A sampling of Sunday events includes:
    Zion Lutheran Church will have a sunrise service in the sanctuary at 6 a.m., followed by breakfast at 7 a.m. and worship at 9:45 a.m.
    Imperial United Methodist Church will have a sunrise service overlooking Enders Dam at 6:30 a.m., worship at 8 a.m., an Easter egg hunt at the church at 10:15 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m.
    Lighthouse Fellowship will  have a Walk of the Cross and sunrise service at 5:45 a.m. at Enders Lake with breakfast to follow, and a potluck and Easter egg hunt at the city park at 2 p.m.
    Crossroads Wesleyan Church will have a sunrise service outside the church at 6 a.m., followed by breakfast, worship at 9 a.m. and an Easter egg hunt on the church’s football field after the service.
    St. Patrick’s Catholic Church will have Holy Mass at 10 a.m., followed by an Easter egg hunt.
    Imperial Bible Church will have a sunrise service at 6 a.m. at Cal and Barb German’s house, with breakfast following, and then a 9:30 a.m. worship service.
