Attention all shoppers! March 24 is the last day to buy Girl Scout cookies!
Girl Scouts are busy selling all of those favorites now. They have pre-ordered cookies, so you don’t have to wait for your order to be processed any more. As soon as you select your favorites, the Girl Scouts will hand them to you.
The 2013 cookie lineup includes Thin Mints, Shortbread, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Peanut Butter Patties, Caramel deLites, Thanks-A-Lot, Lemonades and the new Mango Cremes.
Imperial area scouts are going door-to-door now, selling cookies. Scout leader Amanda Kimble said if someone hasn’t had the opportunity to buy cookies that way, girls will be selling cookies in front of Viaero March 21-23.
On March 21-22 the scouts will sell cookies from 4 p.m. to closing. On March 23 cookies will be available from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-led business in the world. While participating in the program, girls develop five essential skills: goal setting; decision making; money management; people skills, and business ethics.
The Cookie Program is the primary source of funding for Girl Scouts troop activities throughout the year, such as community service projects, environmental programs, camping adventures, field trips and travel to destinations domestically and internationally.
All proceeds from the Spirit of Nebraska Girl Scout Cookie Product Program remain in Nebraska.
