February students named PDF Print E-mail

The Students of the Month for February at Chase County Schools are Courtney Kunnemann and Mason Holmes. They will attend an Imperial Rotary Club lunch in their honor.
Kunnemann, 18, is the daughter of Zoe and Dennis Kunnemann. She is on the honor roll, is a member of National Honor Society, and has been a teachers’ aide.
The senior has been a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes for four years and has been on the leadership team for two years. She has participated in art for three years, choir for four years, show choir and musicals for three years, and the yearbook committee for one year.
Kunnemann was vice president of her class her freshman year and prom chairman her junior year.
She played volleyball one year and was track manager two years. She also was on the dance team two years.
Kunnemann is a member of the Berean Fundamental Church and works at Balcony House Bed and Breakfast. In her free time she enjoys reading, any creative art project and gardening.
She plans to attend college upon graduation from high school.
Holmes, 18, is the son of Melissa and Corey Holmes. He is on the honor roll, a member of National Honor Society, and has been a teachers’ aide.
The senior has been a member of FFA for three years, Future Business Leaders of America for four years—president two years and vice president two years—and Quiz Bowl for two years.
Holmes has participated in choir and musicals for four years and show choir for two years.
He was class president for four years, and was vice president of student council two years. He was football manager for four years and basketball manager for two years.
Holmes attends Zion Lutheran Church. He works at Brickstone Sports Bar and Grill and is an EMT for the Imperial EMS. In his free time he enjoys being with friends and watching movies.
Holmes plans to major in pre-medicine at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the fall.
