More than 260 players in grades 4, 5 and 6 converged on the community Saturday for the annual Imperial Youth Basketball Tournament.
Coordinator Alex McNair said the day involved 33 teams, including 17 girls’ squads and 16 boys’ teams. Ten of them were from Imperial.
First place medals were given to the winning team members in six divisions.

Dundy County, 4th grade
Holyoke, Colo., 5th grade
Dundy County, 6th grade
Boys
St. Francis, Kan., 4th grade
Dundy County, 5th grade
Perkins County, 6th grade
McNair said the day couldn’t have been a success without the help of so many volunteers. Included in that group were 18 to 20 referees and numerous scorekeepers, timers, admission workers and concession help.
