Show Choir Festival brings singing to Imperial PDF Print E-mail

Chase County’s junior high show choir and the high school’s 9th St. Singers were among the 13 groups in Imperial Monday for the Show Choir Festival sponsored by the Nebraska Choral Director’s Association. Chase County’s 9th St. Singers was one of six groups awarded a Gold Trophy for earning the required number of points for their classification.

None of the junior high groups received golds. During and after each performance, two judges scored and provided written critiques while the other two alternated in providing a verbal critique to each individual show choir. Besides the two Chase County groups, junior high show choirs also came from Ogallala, Hershey and Bayard, while high school show choirs represented Bayard (2), Hershey, Minden, Alliance (2), Sutherland and North Platte St. Pat’s.
