Officials from the Department of Labor Workforce Development in North Platte will be in Imperial Tuesday, Feb. 12, for two workshops—one aimed at employers looking for help and one for job-seekers looking for work.
Karen O’Connor, workforce coordinator, said the first session from 11 a.m. to 12 noon is for job-seekers. Another from 12 noon to 1 p.m. is for employers.
Both will be held in the computer room at the Lied Imperial Public Library.
The Department of Labor is partnering with the Nebraska Library Commission to educate both groups on the NEworks website located online at NEworks.nebraska.gov
The website is designed to assist job-seekers and employers in finding jobs and finding workers.
The workshops here Tuesday are free and will be “hands-on” in the library’s computer lab so people can learn how to find info on the website.
O’Connor said job-seekers will learn to navigate the statewide site and locate job openings, while employers will learn how to post job and find employees.
