Students medal at speech meet PDF Print E-mail

Five Chase County Schools  (CCS) students medaled at the large Sutherland High School speech tournament Saturday. CCS finished in the middle of the 16-school pack, with Perkins County first and North Platte St. Pat’s second.
Andrea Hogsett came in fourth in poetry with selections about “The Journey” of life. She competed against about 25 other students.
Tapainga Kahle was fifth in humorous prose about a girl chasing a bat out of her bedroom.
The Oral Interpretation of Drama team of Anna Bauerle, Emma Bauerle and MaKenna Ketter placed second with “Deliver Us Not,” a presentation that coach Jill Bauerle said is hilarious.
Others participating in the meet were: Lexi Howard in entertainment; Darin Knobbe in poetry; Mindy Castle in extemporaneous speaking; Kahle in serious prose; Korey Krutsinger in informative speaking; Anna Bauerle in persuasive speaking, and Ryan Moline and Emma Bauerle in duet acting.
The team will be at the Southwest Speech Invitational in Bartley this Saturday.
