Girl Scouts create enticing tables for community brunch PDF Print E-mail

Imperial Girl Scout troop members paired up with women from the community to create theme tables at the second annual China Brunch last Saturday. Held at Zion Lutheran Church, over 100 people sat down to a brunch that emphasized manners. Each girl met with her co-hostess to decide upon a theme for their table. Themes ranged from Longhorns to strawberries to bees to an upscale 1800s country inn. The girls and their co-hostesses served brunch to persons who had asked for tickets to the free event. Entertainment was provided by Jeff Schuman of Imperial, who played early rock and roll on the piano by greats like Jerry Lee Lewis. During the preparation and serving of the brunch, the girls learned a little bit about table etiquette.
