Identity theft, digital citizenship class topics PDF Print E-mail

Mid-Plains Community College Imperial Campus is sponsoring an identity theft class at the campus at 1324 Broadway Jan. 29 from 9-10 a.m. The class will arm the audience with ways to deter, detect and defend against identity theft.
Campus Coordinator Brenda Ledall urges people to preregister by calling her office at (308) 882-5972 so that sufficient materials will be available.
A digital citizenship class, for parents of students, will be held Jan. 30 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Chase County Schools.
The class teaches safe, respectful, responsible use of information technology to parents, guardians, grandparents and adults.
This class not only focuses on a person’s public presence in cyberspace containing all information about that person found online, but includes details on Nebraska statutes and consequences, warning signs, appropriate responses and resource for additional information, help and support.
