High school bowlers from Chase County Schools will be competing in home matches this Saturday at Imperial Lanes.
Coach Denise Smith said they are hopeful of getting two matches in this weekend with Sidney and Ogallala. Bowling will start at 8 a.m.
Just a dual match was scheduled this Saturday with Sidney, but Smith is hoping to get Ogallala to participate, too. Both Chase County and Ogallala did not travel to last weekend’s quad competition at Scottsbluff due to the weather.
That leaves the Chase County teams short of the required matches needed to compete at districts, Smith said, requiring the teams to seek a waiver from the state association.
District bowling is set for Saturday, Jan. 26. Sites are to be announced on Monday.
