Most of work done on new scoreboard PDF Print E-mail
The new scoreboard is up at Chase County Schools’ football field and track. Despite some wintery weather last week, Kent Silvester, the school’s maintenance supervisor, and workers from Koellner Enterprises were able to get the scoreboard secured onto the posts, which have been in the ground for several months. 21st Century also assisted by providing some equipment and an employee to help. On Tuesday this week, a crew with Pivot Electric, above, was on site, working on connecting power to the scoreboard. It’s hoped the scoreboard will be ready for use at the Imperial Invitational track meet on April 21. Pinnacle Bank of Imperial is a sponsor, whose name has been added below the scoreboard, along with a “Home of the Horns!” message. The scoreboard was purchased from Crouch Recreation in Omaha, which is owned by former Husker Quarterback Eric Crouch. (Republican photo)
