Christmas lighting winners brighten up community PDF Print E-mail

While some of the winners in this year’s Imperial Chamber of Commerce Christmas lighting contest have won before, it’s easy to agree that the first place picks photographed here deserve the honor. Above, the Dennis and LaRue Krutsinger home at 226 West 14th St., took first in the judges’ choice division. Below left, first for best tree went to this meticulously decorated tree of Ron and Bonnie Moritz at 944 Grant St. Below right, Dick and Joan Bartels’ nativity display at 680 West 5th St., was chosen first in the religious category. Each first place winner will receive $50 in Chamber Bucks. Second place selections were Bonnie and Stewart Weiss, 1328 Douglas, judges’ choice; Larry and Carrie Talbott, 400 West 15th, best tree; and Delores and Jason Francis, 465 Golf Course Rd., religious, all winning $25 in Chamber Bucks. This year, the Chamber condensed the contest into three categories instead of five, but actually awarded more money. (Republican photos)
