|Vision of Trees a delight for all|
One of the area’s more popular events celebrating the Christmas season is the Vision of Trees in Champion held last Saturday and Sunday. Young and old alike browsed through the Champion Community Center to see the 45 decorated trees. At right, 13-month-old Briella Exum, daughter of Eric and Ashley Exum of Imperial, seems especially interested in these little elves set up near one of the trees.
During the junior high show choir’s performance Saturday, third grader Jerzee Milner, at left, is dressed for the season with her Merry Christmas hat. In addition to the trees, each with its own unique theme, 11 Nativity scenes were displayed. Raffle winners included Elaine Haarberg, bench; Deb Hayes, Christmas tree designed by the Champion Jr. Women’s Club and Challengers 4-H Club; Morayah Cupp, quilt; Betty Jo Goodell, toy truck; and Bill Brophy, wooden toy. Dean Mitchell won the Christmas tree on display by the Imperial Girl Scouts, which was then donated in a drawing. (Republican photos)
