Youth baseball camp planned in May PDF Print E-mail

By Jan Schultz
The Imperial Republican

Youths age eight through Junior Legion age are invited to brush up on their baseball skills at a camp May 22-23.
The instructional camp will be divided for two age groups, eight to 11 years of age and 12 to 16 (or through Jr. Legion age).
Cost is $25, which includes a camp T-shirt and instruction from Imperial Crush team members. The camp runs three hours each day for both age groups.
Reviewed during the two-day camps will be proper stretching, hitting, pitching, catching, base-running and fielding drills.
The second day will also include a scrimmage/game.
The camps will be held at Campbell Park in Imperial. Registrations need to be in by May 1 to avoid a $5 late fee.
Campers will need to bring their glove, hat, baseball pants, water bottle and cleats.
Imperial Crush competed in the Nebraska Baseball Association’s wood bat league last summer and will compete again this year.
Parents or campers with questions can direct them to either Scott Way, 882-1686, or Darrin Schultz, 882-8622.
