A vehicle was totaled and a  passenger air-lifted out following a Friday morning accident near the Colorado state line.
Chase County Sheriff Kevin Mueller said Racheska Portillo, 33, was driving the 1996 Ford Ranger pickup when she apparently lost control traveling south near 310 Avenue and Colorado Rd. 65.
Ramon Varay, 49, who was a passenger in the pickup, was transported to Chase County Community Hospital with possible internal injuries, Mueller said. He was later air-lifted to another hospital.
The pickup rolled three times and was totaled. Portillo was uninjured, according to the sheriff’s report.
The accident occurred shortly after 10 a.m. Friday.
