Three-pointers pay off for Booster Club PDF Print E-mail
For the second consecutive year, Pinnacle Bank of Imperial offered an incentive to the Longhorn boys’ and girls’ basketball teams with a three-point challenge. For each three-pointer made by the teams, the bank would contribute $3 to the Longhorn Booster Club. For the 2008-09 season, the Lady Longhorns sunk 69 treys, while the boys’ team hit 45, for a total of 114. While that totals $342 at $3 a shot, the bank kicked in a little extra and made a full $400 donation last week.
