Pumpkin decorators get creative PDF Print E-mail

As part of the Halloween events in grades K-6 at Chase County Schools, students had the chance to decorate a pumpkin in the annual contest.
The winners were announced last Wednesday, Oct. 31, in the Longhorn gym after the parade of costumes.
Students in Chelsea Zuege’s art classes served as judges.
Elementary Principal Pat Lane announced the first, second and third place winners as follows.
Kindergarten—1st, Shalissa Bigham, mice w/cheese; 2nd, Ashley Cazares, baby; 3rd, Conner Tyerman, bats.
First grade—1st, Sammy Schrotberger, basket of kittens; 2nd, Jaret Peterson, monster; 3rd, Mason Wallin, bowser.
Second grade—1st, McKenzie Vogt, Christmas tree; 2nd, Ian Moreno, minion; 3rd, Madelynn Hanes, witch.
Third grade—1st, Kendall Prior, cupcake; 2nd, Matalie Wallin, zebra; 3rd, Morgan Peterson, colored face.
Fourth grade—1st, Nathan Owens, Monsters, Inc.; 2nd, Kambree Meeske, tin man; 3rd, Getsemani Hinojosa, Martian invasion.
Fifth grade—1st, Mallie McNair, Angry Birds; 2nd, Ethan Clermont, spiders; 3rd, Nathan Rau, Madagascar zebra.
Sixth grade—1st, Megan Baird, popcorn.
