P.E.O. members discuss coming year PDF Print E-mail

Members from 20 P.E.O. chapters spanning from Lexington to Holdrege to Imperial gathered in Imperial Saturday to share stories, vote on issues that affect the philanthropic educational organization, and gear up for the coming year.
Forty-one members met at the Imperial United Methodist Church. The Reciprocity Group 1 meeting was chaired by Linda Nelson of Imperial.
The organization, which is international as well as national, raises money to support many projects that help women continue higher education, complete college education or receive an education at the organization’s college in Nevada, Mo.
The Imperial Chapter IG has assisted about 10 local women to receive grants or loans for areas of education such as nursing and teaching.
