Life Chain is family event PDF Print E-mail

The annual Life Chain, the first Sunday in October each year, often brings out families in Imperial and this year was no different. More than 50 adults and children took part in Sunday’s event in Imperial, which brought out people from several churches to line Broadway with signs promoting life. Signs read “Pray to end abortion,” “Adoption: the loving option” and “Abortion kills children,” among others. Life Chain is an hour of prayerful refection and silent protest against abortion, and hundreds of them are held across the U.S. and Canada each year. At left, Ken and Janet Tomky and sons Aidan, left, and Evan get settled at the start of the hour.
