The seventh annual All Cancer Walk, sponsored by Chase County Community Hospital (CCCH), will begin with an 8:30 a.m. registration Saturday at St. Patrick’s Parish Hall, 740 Broadway, in Imperial.
The 5K walk will begin at 9 a.m. and will wind around Imperial.
The purpose of the walk is to raise awareness of the fight against cancer and to raise funds earmarked to assist residents living in Chase County or receiving care at CCCH and clinic who are fighting cancer.
Funds will also be used to assist those in need with cancer prevention measures such as mammograms, PSA tests, etc.
Organizers  hope to have 100 participants.
The registration fee is $15 before Saturday or $20 the day of the walk.
Registration forms are available at the hospital or clinics or online at www.chasecoun tyhospital.com.
Guest speaker during the event is Jen Harris of Imperial, whose mother, Janice Allen, died of gall bladder cancer.
A light lunch will be served following the walk. A silent auction will be held, where items such as a signed Husker football and Husker volleyball will be auctioned.
Door prizes will be awarded. Child care, provided by the school’s FCCLA chapter, will be available from 8:30-11:45 a.m. Face painting will also be offered free by high school art students and teacher Chelsea Zuege.
