City council member elected to municipal league board PDF Print E-mail

Sue Moore, an eight-year Imperial city council member, is one of the new directors on the executive board of the League of Nebraska Municipalities.
Her election came at the League’s 2012 annual conference in Kearney Sept. 19-21.
Moore, who is seeking a third term on the city council in the November election, will serve with mayors and other city officials from across Nebraska on the 15-member executive board.
She’s been on the League’s Association of Risk Management (LARM) committee the past three years.
Serving as League board president will be Lincoln Mayor Chris Beutler.
The executive board is the League’s governing body and formulates their policies and philosophies. It also gets involved in legislative issues, which is considered the League’s top priority for its members.
Other functions of the League include educational seminars, publishing a magazine and newsletter and answering technical questions for its members.
