Earlier Prom arrives here Saturday PDF Print E-mail
One of spring’s big events at Chase County Schools is the Prom. This year, the event is arriving much earlier, this Saturday night in fact. In the past, the Prom here has been scheduled the end of April or early May. This week,  members of the junior class announced their candidates for Prom king and queen, who include, from left, Molly Strand, Preston Bernhardt, Edgar Almanza, Nichole Dickey and Jeremy Mathews. The third queen candidate is Miranda Knobbe, who was out of town with the Chase County students on the Freedoms Foundation trip when the photo was taken Monday. According to junior class co-sponsor Sandy O’Neil, the public is invited to watch the Promenade Saturday night in the Wellington gym, which begins at 8 p.m. and will be followed by the king and queen’s coronation. The Prom attendees will be dining together for the Prom dinner at 6:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church. After the dance, the students are invited to the after-Prom activities in the school cafeteria being organized by parents of the juniors and seniors. (Republican photo)
