Every year the Nebraska State Fair Education Department sets a theme that students use when competing in many categories, with awards given during the state fair.
Art, computer graphics, essay and poetry, math, penmanship, science, spelling, the list goes on.
A number of Chase County Schools students received awards this year for their projects. The theme was “Nebraska: Possibilities...Endless.”
Kindergarten teacher Arlys Cupp coordinates the entries made by the students—this year in grades K-2, one fourth grader and high school science students.

CCS also received the third place elementary school trophy at the fair. Cupp received the “Apple Trophy” for teachers.
