|Pep rally, BBQ signal fall sports seasons|
A cool evening, the smell of BBQ meat, pep band music and cheers all point to the same thing—the high school fall sports season is well underway. On Friday, Booster Club members, other fans and athletes showed up in force at the school parking lot where they enjoyed food and annual traditions to kick off the Longhorn seasons. One of the traditions of this pep rally is the distribution of senior yard signs. Cross country runner Maddison Vaverek, right, accepts hers from cheerleaders Suzy Kasselman and Blair Hartman.
