Basketball fans and lovers of fun will have all they want in three weeks when the Harlem Ambassadors come to Imperial.
The famed Harlem Ambassadors will face a local “Imperials” team when they take to the court on Thursday, Sept. 20, for a 7 p.m. contest at the Longhorn gym.
Tickets are now on sale for the event, which will be $1 cheaper than at the door.
In-advance ticket prices are $5 for adults and $3 for students (K-12). Preschoolers are free.
Tickets are available in Imperial at Adams Bank & Trust, First Bank & Trust, Imperial Credit Union, Pinnacle Bank, Fine Things Jewelry and Gifts and The Imperial Republican.
Area fans may remember the 2009 appearance of the Harlem Ambassadors, sponsored by the Imperial Chamber of Commerce, which filled the CCS gym.
This time, the Chamber is teaming up with the Imperial Lions Club in bringing them back for another family-friendly game.
Since 1998, Harlem Ambassadors, Inc. has partnered with hundreds of non-profit organizations, like the Chamber and Lions Club, in all 50 states and 20 foreign countries.
They promise a game that features dazzling ball-handling tricks, high-flying slam dunks and hilarious family comedy.
Audience involvement is a big part of the show, with kids and adults alike brought out of the crowd for some fun.
An autograph session with the Harlem Ambassadors will follow the game. A donated Harlem Ambassadors basketball will also be raffled at the event.
