The Imperial Emergency Medical Services (EMS) now has two new ambulances, retiring two older ones.
A 2010 Ford Medtec received in May replaced a 2005 Ford Medtec.
The new one, with about 200 miles on it, was purchased through Front Range Fire Apparatus and cost just less than $132,000.
The old ambulance, upon which bids of sale were to be opened by the Chase County Commissioners Tuesday, had about 77,000 miles on it.
Earlier this year, the EMS took possession of a 2011 Chevy Duramax, which replaced a 1998 Ford Medtec.
Equipment from the old ambulances was transferred to the new ones.
