High school volleyball coach Jodie Schuller and her team will start formal preparation for the upcoming fall sports season this month.
A week of conditioning will start Monday, Aug. 6, from 8 to 9 a.m. each morning that week at the school.
Two-a-day practices will get underway Monday, Aug. 13, and continue Aug. 14 and 15 from 8 to 11 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.
Due to Chase County Fair events on Aug. 16-17, just one daily morning practice is scheduled from 8 to 11:30 a.m., she said.
On Aug. 20-21, practice is set from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. each day, which are the two days before the start of school on Wednesday, Aug. 22.
The Longhorn volleyball team will play its first contest of the 2012 season on the road Aug. 30 against Haxtun, Colo. The Chase County/Haxtun match is a day earlier than last year’s schedule.
