|FCSAmerica distributes $2.2 million to area producers|
Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) customers in the
North Platte Marketplace area, which includes Dundy, Chase, Perkins, Keith, Red Willow, Hitchcock, Furnas, Frontier, Hayes, Lincoln, Arthur, McPherson, Logan, Thomas, Hooker, Grant and Cherry Counties, are receiving cash patronage payments totaling approximately $2.2million this month.
The 2008 cash patronage distribution for all eligible FCSAmerica customers is $60 million.
“More than simply having financial strength, patronage allows us to share it with our customer-owners who helped build it,” said President and CEO Doug Stark. “We appreciate the dedication and loyalty of those who were a part of our success.”
Mitchell Korf, FCSAmerica’s vice-president in the North Platte Marketplace, added, “The patronage program is a great benefit available to area producers and the communities in which they live.
Many of the producers will spend the money locally, adding an economic benefit to the entire region.”
Since 2005, FCSAmerica has distributed more than $260 million in cash patronage to eligible customers and the board of directors has approved a patronage program for 2009.
